Greg Jaman, Enterprise Lead and Product Manager for HVAC controls. Greg, an industry veteran of over 20 years, leads a group of talented engineers in building the next generation of controllers. Before joining Delta, Greg worked as an engineer developing software and hardware solutions for clients engaged in building sciences, construction and management of buildings. Currently, he focuses on technology for new opportunities and all things IoT. Seeing new technology that creates opportunities to solve customer problems is something Greg truly appreciates. Greg is a licensed professional engineer with a Master of Science in computer engineering. As a firm believer in a healthy and balanced lifestyle, Greg enjoys kiteboarding, fishing, and camping with his family. David Amos is the Director of Product Management at Delta Controls, and his priority is making sure that the company maintains the leading edge of product development. His team ensures proper tools and processes are in place to stay connected with customers. David is currently transitioning to a new role as Director of Product Development Services. He will lead the Partner Development Services team in providing Partners, OEMs and corporate accounts with customized solution development. Design and programming of complete control systems, servicing and optimizing installed systems, energy audits, and running optimization programs, including co-ordination with utilities to secure financial rebates associated with realized energy savings, are all part of the plan. Optimistically, David says, “You have to open your eyes and mind to see Opportunities that are in front of you!” David has two decades of industry experience and holds a Mechanical Engineer Degree from UBC, and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Professional Engineer (PEng).
Stephan Riffault is a Sales Engineer with Regulvar Canada Inc., responsible for estimating and bidding projects in the Eastern Ontario region. His other responsibilities include calling on engineers and presenting to clients and other organizations (SLCan and BOMA). Stephan utilizes his 25 years of engineering experience in the design aspect of projects and select site meetings for ongoing installations. His expertise in control systems design and as a mechanical designer/mechanical engineer allows for what he feels is a different perspective and insight for a client's needs. Stephan's primary focus is on the development and marketing of Regulvar's Laboratory Solution. To Stephan, Opportunity is all about providing worthwhile and innovative solutions. As he says, "Experience has shown me, in most cases, you don't need to chase an Opportunity. If you are knowledgeable, the right, trustworthy people will come to you." He looks forward to working with more North American Delta Partners in the near future. Stephan is a married father of two teenage daughters. Stephan enjoys volunteer work with the Vintage Wings of Canada foundation as part of the grooming team (cleaning and detailing) and a hangar tour guide. The foundation preserves and operates flight worthy World War II aircraft. He is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
Drew Perrin - Product Strategy Manager Drew Perrin has been in the building automation and energy sector since the mid 1980's. As a Product Strategy Manager at Delta Controls, Drew strategically guides different internal business groups by researching products and technologies, and analyzing market conditions. He also assists in qualifying and introducing new product initiatives and strategic decisions that drive future direction. Drew has a big-picture vision for the future and aims to make it a reality. Currently, Drew is focused on the intersection of wireless technology with Delta Building room integration strategies. Drew would define Opportunity as a favourable time, a good position or prospect for success. His view is that Opportunity always exists, no matter the circumstance. “It's an attitude!" Outside of work, Drew loves to play recreational hockey and classifies himself as a bit of an NHL buff. In his words, "After the Canucks, I still like the Leafs... but, shhhhh, don't tell anyone."
As Director of Global Inside Sales with Delta Controls, Kurt Graves is responsible for guiding the Delta Partnership's many facets of sales support services. His greatest passion has always been delighting customers with service and support by solving problems, exceeding expectations and fostering trusting relationships. Throughout his entire career in sales, marketing and product management roles for various global firms in the controls industry, customer relationships have always been at the core of his greatest motivation and sense of accomplishment. Kurt currently focuses on leading the customer care team members to serve and support our customers with the same passion, making the seemingly impossible possible and always thinking one or even two steps ahead in any given situation. For Kurt and his team, Opportunity is "When we can identify individual courses of action and solutions that can then be applied to better serving many or all of our customers as part of our striving for continuous improvement." Kurt is a dedicated supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, a UK soccer team in north London whose new stadium also doubles as the world's best NFL stadium outside of the USA! He has been with Delta Controls for 30 years.
As part of the Delta Controls Executive Team, Robert Hemmerdinger drives growth and brand awareness globally as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. Robert focuses on building structure and processes for the Sales & Marketing team to succeed by cultivating a global, mobile, digital, and scaleable organization. Robert has over 25 years of experience in the industry. In the early days, Rob worked as a Technical Support Engineer and then in Product Management. Ultimately, Robert held Business Development and General Management roles in both the UK and the United States before joining Delta Controls. For Robert, Discovery is all about being open-minded and looking at opportunities, technology, and commercial strategies from all angles, even if you’ve previously dismissed them. “The world has changed a lot in the last three years. New ideas and concepts could be the next phase for your company’s journey.” Robert finds joy in being active, especially by spending time outdoors. Rob watches as much football (soccer) as his wife and daughters tolerate. A British-born avid watch collector (36 and counting), he lives in Boston, MA. He holds a BSc (Hons) in IT Engineering from De Montfort University.
As Chief Operating Officer, Agustin Castellanos helps drive the long-term strategy and evolution of Delta Controls by leading a variety of teams towards creating a more efficient, customer-centric organization. It's been just over 3 years since he joined this particular industry; however, Agustin has held leadership positions in Manufacturing and Operations in the oil and gas sector, construction commodities, fuel cell development, heavy-duty and high-volume electronic manufacturing businesses. For Agustin, "Operations is driven by perpetual improvement, continuously challenging the status quo and seeking opportunities where the 'usual' and 'comfortable' may be the norm." Agustin believes Opportunity is everywhere, that Opportunity is found by "continuously challenging the way we do things and our perspectives"; by promoting "ownership, transparency and efficiency." He loves mountain biking and has recently experienced some of the world's best trails right here in British Columbia.
Shane Murphy is the Marketing Manager for Delta Controls and recently celebrated his 10 year anniversary with the company. Drawing upon his years spent as a field technician and engineer, he brings a great deal of value to his critical role in marketing. He oversees all marketing activities for Delta Controls. His team is responsible for our Global Conferences and continuously produces outstanding video, digital, and print media. Currently, Shane and his ‘small-but-mighty’ group of 4 are focused on building the Delta Controls brand, so that it’s globally known and envied by all in the industry. Despite Covid, Shane sees the Opportunity to build the Delta Controls brand through video, social media, digital publications and the expansion of the collateral platforms that Delta Controls maintains. When Shane finds a spare moment, you’ll find him in the kitchen or at his BBQ, cooking up a delicious meal, which he is always happy to share.
Dave Paull of SECorps has served as the Delta Controls Business Institute (DCBI) lead facilitator since inception. He has over 40 years’ experience selling and delivering technical services to building owners, property managers and institutional accounts. As a business leader, educator and consultant, Dave and his team at SECorps, help North American businesses and individuals maximize their performance. Dave began his career in sales and management with a major controls manufacturer and then shifted to mechanical contracting with a focus on developing and delivering technical services. He has been involved with several industry-shifting consolidation strategies in addition to leading business units and sales and delivery teams. For Dave, a problem always contains an opportunity. If you ask Dave where he lives, he would say, “that depends on when you ask.” He divides his time between Chicagoland, the metropolitan area of Chicago and its suburbs, and Arizona.
As a Sales Engineer within Delta Controls' Global Inside Sales group, Helen Wu works collaboratively with Business Development Managers to settle all aspects of the OEM account business. Additionally, Helen regularly and routinely coordinates with internal teams, such as QA and Operations, to ensure everything to do with Delta Controls' external customer interface runs smoothly. She has worked in the International Electronics & Manufacturing Industry for over 15 years. For Helen, Opportunity means more OEM business growth – when a door opens, look to see what's inside … then find out more! As Product Solutions Manager, EQUIP Enterprise Lead, Dorota Belkowska-Woloczko uses her years of experience in building automation to help serve you and your business best. She IS EQUIP, our 3rd-party products business. She is always on the go with a rapidly growing portfolio of engineered and generic products, enhancing Customer-oriented offerings. One of Dorota's many focuses is on solutions for safe, comfortable and healthy indoor environments. Dorota believes that "Discovery is a process to understanding. John Matthews is Vice President of ESC’s Master Systems Integration (MSI) team. He leads a group of professionals that perform Master Systems Integration (MSI) work on a range of projects across Canada along with complementary technologies such as Operational Technology (OT) Networks, Security, and Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS). After 25 years, John's industry experience is extensive, he has Sales, Industrial Business Development, Project Management and General Management under his belt. Currently, John focuses on delivering current MSI and multidiscipline projects while maintaining the "Do it Right" brand value. His team is pursuing new projects while John builds, trains and develops the MSI team. For John, Opportunity is delivering on commitments to clients while demystifying the integration process and building trust through transparency. Happiest on a fishing boat, John proudly admits that he is a 'Fire Alarm nerd'!
Lucy Gedney serves as VP of Sales, Estimating and Marketing for ATS Automation. She manages their sales operations in the Seattle area and supports the efforts of other ATS Sales Leaders in several territories in the United States. Lucy has long been in the industry and has vast experience in building automation, including sales management, field technical services, project design engineering, project management, service sales, new construction sales and project negotiation. For several years now, Lucy’s focus has been on smart building technologies and their role in enhancing occupant experience and contributing to energy savings. ATS is proud to have added new product offerings to differentiate them as a master system integrator of smart building solutions. To Lucy, Opportunity means an opening or a possibility for success. In her words, “Opportunity is a chance to capitalize on a situation and create a positive outcome.” Lucy considers the arts, travel, and sports amongst her favorite things. Passionate about health and nutrition studies, Lucy is credited with founding and managing the ATS Employee Wellness Program. As a Product Manager for the Management Software Line of Business at Delta Controls, Mona Nandi collaborates across teams, management, and Partners to improve our products. By creating roadmaps and understanding Partner needs, Mona helps prioritize items and focus the team on meeting strategic objectives. She’s a systematic problem solver who strongly believes in taking a human-centric design thinking approach, and that Opportunity lies just one step away from any problem. This is her first time working in the Building Management industry after 6-years working internationally in international IT services, business solutions, and outsourcing organizations before pursuing a Canadian MBA degree. Mona was proudly at the top of her class in MBA specialization, awarded three times for academic excellence and leadership.
Travis Grubert has been in the industry since 1999, currently serving as Controls Training Coordinator for Delta Controls. He is responsible for all of the official course curricula for Partner technicians, training and support of Authorized Trainer candidates (selected from Partnership), and the Delta Authorized Training Center's collaborative leadership. Travis began teaching very early in his career. Still, his field experience as an Engineer and management roles in the construction industry provided him with a wealth of knowledge he applies to every learning module he carefully develops. Travis is not shy about how he feels about Delta Controls. "I've found my home, and I love my calling." For Travis, Opportunity isn't necessarily succinctly defined. "If we are wise, we know that Opportunity is sometimes disguised as failure. It gives us a chance to do better and try something different. Other times, Opportunity comes to us as the thing no one else is thinking of doing or is willing to do."
Fun fact! Travis almost spent a weekend trapped in a newly installed elevator on a job site once. He was just able to pick up a cell signal to call for help after wedging the doors open and jamming a shoe in between them.
Zach Stevens is the User Experience Development Team Lead for the Professional Development Services group at Delta Controls. His role is to work with our customers to create high-quality graphical representations of their buildings. He is also the lead instructor for Delta Controls graphics package enteliVIZ. He has been lucky enough to travel across four continents as an instructor. Since joining Delta Controls nearly a decade ago, he is primarily focused on growing our customization services and encouraging customers to standardize their graphics creation processes. Creating high-quality graphics at a reduced cost that can help set your company apart is what opportunity means to Zach. He is proud to have received a New Media Design and Web Development Certification with Distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is currently working through a Project Management program at Simon Fraser University.
Dave Stephen is a Product Strategy Manager at Delta Controls. As a member of the product strategy team, Dave focuses on creating long-term product roadmaps and business cases. From Red5 to Building Canvas, he ensures that the company is prepared with the best products and services in the industry. Another industry veteran, Dave, spent two years as a controls engineer for a Delta Controls Partner in Toronto before joining Delta Controls 20 years ago. For Dave, "Discovery is the reward for curiosity. When our curiosity helps us to discover something new, we are filled with a sense of success, wonderment, and hope for the future." Dave loves to cook! He can often be found in his kitchen, perfecting his techniques and mastering dishes from other cultures. Dave also enjoys travelling and cooking, remembering places visited by the food rather than the sights.
Mike Bletzacker, CEO of Engineered Services, Inc., started his career at just 19 years old. Mike oversees the senior management and organizational direction of the company, headquartered in Sterling, Virginia. In his nearly 40 years of experience, he has been everything from helper, to an electrician, to Foreman, Field Foreman to Service Manager. He was named General Manager in 2000 and by 2006 was President and owner (along with two others). At one point, Mike was the technical resource for all of ESI’s automation products. Eventually, his work became more client-focused, and in his words, “Learning how to meet or exceed client expectations became my passion.” Currently, Mike and his team are focused on growing the company and building the next generation of leaders. For Mike, mentoring is priceless and teaching others to mentor is paramount. Opportunity means many things to Mike and everyone at ESI. “Opportunity is everything from failure to success. How to recognize Opportunity in everything you do is of strategic importance in both family and business.” Mike loves art, music and fast cars. He and his trusty Honda CRX have won 4 championships and a 13-hour endurance race.
As Chief Technology Officer of Delta Controls, Chris Kwong is the guiding voice for the Product Strategy Team and Research Teams, responsible for the long term roadmap of future product technologies. Chris has been part of the industry for nearly 30 years. His various industry experiences from public access control, utilities, oil and gas, steel manufacturing, and telecom allows him a uniquely practical viewpoint. Currently, Chris focuses on strategic planning for enterprise BMS, the next generation of sensor hubs and integration of systems. To Chris, “Opportunity is recognizing the considerable value our teams and partners contribute to solving significant global and socioeconomic challenges and acting upon them. For example, building more solutions for energy management and control, to improve health and security within our spaces and respond with solutions to assist in getting back to normal from this pandemic.” Chris grew up on the prairies and credits his commitment to society and strong work ethic to the prairies and the Prairie people. The beautiful diversity and year-round activity options are something Chris loves about living in British Columbia. As he says, “We are lucky.”
Dusko Lukanic-Simpson serves as Managing Director of Delta Controls Germany. With business partner Antonio de Pina, this duo has been developing its business model in the German, Swiss, Austrian, Portuguese and Spanish marketplace since 2005. Dusko and the Delta Controls Germany Team create ecosystems to build a sustainable business for the future, from system Partners to planners and consultants to major customers. Dusko believes anything is possible and has faith in the law of attraction, which has served him well in his 30 years in Sales and Business Development. Dusko's motto is 'Constantly look for the Trojan Horse, and you can win any sale with the right story, tactic and strategy.' Currently, Delta Controls Germany focuses on creating Delta Buildings using the O3 and the Access Control System, positioning the full product line into great projects in their territory! Gamal Mustapha - Director of Product Management Gamal Mustapha presently serves as the Director of Product Management, managing the Product portfolio and new technology initiatives. As Director, he focuses on maintaining our uninterrupted supply of products while simultaneously providing new and innovative products and solutions. His team is responsible for collecting and prioritizing feature requests and achieving technological advancements to ensure Delta Controls maintains the leading edge in the industry. He has over 25 years of experience in the electronic design industry and 15 years in the building science and automation industries. In Gamal's words, " Discovery is uncovering the unexpected and the result of perseverance and hard work. Nothing is more rewarding than achieving something far greater than you set out to accomplish." Gamal started one of the first Internet Service Provider companies in Winnipeg and created an online store called forsale.com - the site became so popular it was shut down due to too much network traffic. Gamal hiked Vancouver Island's West Coast Trail this past summer, one of the world's top 10 trails (along with Everest and Peru) with its endless ladders, mud trenches, and boulder-laden beaches! Gamal holds a Computer Engineering Degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
John Nicholls - President Delta Controls' Do It Right philosophy and President John Nicholls go hand in hand. A cheerful and fearless leader with industry experience that is vast and deep, John is recognized for his ability to grow organizations and the individuals that power them. Part of the family long before becoming President, John was instrumental in creating Delta Controls operations in Europe. He engineered in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe before finding himself at Andover Controls (UK), culminating in serving as CEO for Europe, Africa and the Middle East territories. Subsequently, as an investor, he helped support the growth of numerous controls companies, spending a decade as a management consultant. John's current area of focus is building scalable capacity to meet growth demands while balancing values and culture. "Our people and our customers go through the process of Discovery as they learn, improve, become passionate and grow. The company is on a journey to build a modular, empowered structure and the next iteration of Delta Controls that will be agile and an incubator for invention and talent. It will drive service and growth through ownership." After living in North America for a decade, John still refuses to high-five but never shies away from a good laugh.
