As the Business Development Manager for OEM with Delta Controls, Tim Arion cultivates the OEM and distribution business while supporting and maintaining existing accounts. His 21 years in the industry have garnered a wide range of experience. He's previously worn the hat of field technician, project engineer, technical support engineer, technical support manager, business development manager, and solutions engineering/sales director. Daily, Tim focuses on new OEM and distribution opportunities for Delta Controls and prides himself in being a technical advisor to our customers. For Tim, "Opportunity is finding a solution to a customer's problem or pain. It's not offering them something they don't need, but finding a solution to make their business outcome better." Tim holds a bachelor of science in computer information systems and IT. from U of T at Dallas. Outside work hours, Tim loves running, fishing, and sports cars. Who else at Delta has been to all 30 major league baseball parks? Tim has!
As a Product Manager for the Access Control offering, Scott Sharp is responsible for evaluating Delta Controls' current solutions and guides in the development and improvements of future solutions. Relatively new to DCI, he's been in the industry for 25 years. In his early years, his focus was CAD & graphics design visually representing BAS. After that, estimating and engineering roles focused on physical security and building automation, shortly after accepting a role as a division manager overseeing large projects for city municipalities. Scott was a Territory Sales Manager supporting a building automation partner channel. Scott sees Opportunity as not limiting oneself to hearing but listening. "By listening, I remove my own biases and opinions, opening my mind to new ideas and improvements." Scott is a proud father of two and a husband. He's an avid collector of comic books and movie memorabilia.
David Amos is the Director of Professional Development Services (PDS), and his priority is enabling our customers to deliver effective control solutions to the world. His team ensures proper tools and processes are in place to stay proficient with the latest technologies. PDS provides Partners, OEMs and corporate accounts with customized, integrated building automation solutions. Design, programming, and graphic interface development of complete control systems, servicing and running of optimization programs, developing customized software modules and reporting features, connecting data between systems to increase building intelligence, and building customized hardware products are all part of the plan. Optimistically, David says, “Every Opportunity can be met with a solution -- it’s often simpler than you think!” David has two decades of industry experience and holds a Mechanical Engineer Degree from UBC, and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Professional Engineer (PEng).
Drew Perrin has been in the building automation and energy sector since the mid 1980's. As a Product Strategy Manager at Delta Controls, Drew strategically guides different internal business groups by researching products and technologies, and analyzing market conditions. He also assists in qualifying and introducing new product initiatives and strategic decisions that drive future direction. Drew has a big-picture vision for the future and aims to make it a reality. Currently, Drew is focused on the intersection of wireless technology with Delta Building room integration strategies. Drew would define Opportunity as a favourable time, a good position or prospect for success. His view is that Opportunity always exists, no matter the circumstance. “It's an attitude!" Outside of work, Drew loves to play recreational hockey and classifies himself as a bit of an NHL buff. In his words, "After the Canucks, I still like the Leafs... but, shhhhh, don't tell anyone."
As Director of Global Inside Sales with Delta Controls, Kurt Graves is responsible for guiding the Delta Partnership's many facets of sales support services. His greatest passion has always been delighting customers with service and support by solving problems, exceeding expectations and fostering trusting relationships. Throughout his entire career in sales, marketing and product management roles for various global firms in the controls industry, customer relationships have always been at the core of his greatest motivation and sense of accomplishment. Kurt currently focuses on leading the customer care team members to serve and support our customers with the same passion, making the seemingly impossible possible and always thinking one or even two steps ahead in any given situation. For Kurt and his team, Opportunity is "When we can identify individual courses of action and solutions that can then be applied to better serving many or all of our customers as part of our striving for continuous improvement." Kurt is a dedicated supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, a UK soccer team in north London whose new stadium also doubles as the world's best NFL stadium outside of the USA! He has been with Delta Controls for 30 years.
As part of the Delta Controls Executive Team, Robert Hemmerdinger drives growth and brand awareness globally as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. Robert recently celebrated 22 years of service in the industry. In his early years, he worked as a Technical Support Engineer and then worked in Product Management. Ultimately, Robert held Business Development and General Management roles in both the UK and the United States before joining Delta Controls. Currently, Robert is focused on the automation and digitalization of the Sales and Marketing departments. In Robert’s own words, “By measuring and improving our output, we deliver more value for our customers.” For Robert, Opportunity is being mindful of products, services, solutions, and people outside of your traditional sphere of influence as they might be your next avenue for growth. A British-born avid watch collector and runner, Robert enjoys living in Boston with his wife and daughters. Robert holds a BSc (Hons) in IT Engineering from De Montfort University.
Dave Stephen is a Product Strategy Manager at Delta Controls. He habitually identifies new opportunities, assesses product performance, and assists in developing long-term strategic plans for future product lines. Another veteran of the industry, Dave, spent a couple of years as a controls engineer for a Delta Controls Partner in Toronto before joining Delta Controls 17 years ago. He is currently focused on changing the building automation industry by introducing cloud technologies, SaaS business models, and developing innovative apps. Dave believes that Opportunity opens doors to a new and exciting future. For Dave, "New possibilities reveal themselves to you and make you want to walk through that door as fast as you can." Dave loves to cook! He can often be found in his kitchen, perfecting his techniques and mastering dishes from other cultures. When not celebrating culinary feats, Dave enjoys watching sports and is especially fond of hockey. "Go Canucks Go!"
As Director of Product Management, Gamal Mustapha oversees the alignment of the product portfolio with the long term strategy and vision of Delta Controls. His team is responsible for collecting and prioritizing feature requests and for achieving technological advancements to ensure Delta Controls maintains the leading edge in the industry. Gamal has over 25 years of experience in electronic design and software industries and of that, 15 in the building science sector where he served as President of Structure Monitoring Technology. Gamal believes Opportunity is a conduit to achieve something extraordinary. As former USA Olympic hockey coach Herb Brooks said, "Great moments are born from great opportunity". In Gamal's own words, "Throughout my career, I've engaged University teams and R&D groups to push the envelope to design revolutionary products and solutions. From the first IP stack on a chip to the first camera in a PDA, I've worked with teams to win awards in business competitions, engineering competitions and more." Gamal's research work and designs in IoT for construction led to the approval and design of the world's tallest wood building at UBC. One of his proudest achievements is developing the permanent monitoring solution for the Tomb of Jesus in Jerusalem to help maintain the structure for the next 200 years. Gamal holds a Computer Engineering Degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

The name John Nicholls is synonymous with Delta Controls. He is our cheerful and fearless leader who is an advocate of the Do It Right philosophy. Known for his ability to develop and nurture a team from the ground up and convert leading-edge technology into real-world benefits, John was part of the family long before becoming president. John was instrumental in the creation of Delta Controls operations in Europe. His experience in the industry is vast and deep. He engineered in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and all over Europe and before finding himself back in the UK, at Andover Controls, culminating in serving as their CEO for Europe, Africa and the Middle East territories. Subsequently, as an investor, he helped support the growth of numerous controls companies, spending a decade as a management consultant. Currently, John focuses on Order of Magnitude thinking, a sense of urgency and the balance between goals and values. For John, Opportunity Right Here, Right Now is not only a reminder of the classic cut by Van Halen, but it's also paramount for Delta Controls. "Opportunity is a state of mind." John appreciates a good laugh, is a proud father and returns to visit his mum and dad in Staffordshire as often as he can. John is a graduate of Nottingham in the UK (Electrical and Electronic Engineering).
